It had previously closed as a cinema in 1983, and was reopened as a bingo hall. However, the bingo hall closed itself in 1985 and the cinema again reopened with the Walt Disney film 'Peter Pan' and finally closed in 1999 with the screening of another Walt Disney film, this time 'The Prince of Egypt'
